SkipMania (Skipping Competition)
Participants compete to showcase their skipping skills, aiming to achieve the highest number of skips in a set time limit while demonstrating technique and style. Participants must register in advance as individuals. Each participant will be assigned a specific time slot for their turn. A brief warm-up session will be provided to prevent injuries and prepare participants for the competition. Each participant will have a set time (e.g., 1 minute) to complete as many skips as possible. Skips will be counted by judges during the performance. Points will be awarded based on the total number of successful skips completed within the time limit.

Rules
  • Skipping Technique: Participants must use a standard jump rope for the competition. The rope must be of appropriate length. All skips must be performed with proper form; both feet must leave the ground for each skip.
  • Time Limit: Each participant has exactly 1 minute to complete as many skips as possible. Timing will be strictly enforced.
  • Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain sportsmanship and respect towards other competitors and judges.
  • The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
  • In the event of any disputes that may arise during the competition, the decision made by the organizers will be final and binding.

  • Participants found under the influence of cigarettes, alcohol, or narcotics, or using unfair means, regardless of the event they are participating in or the institution they represent, will be prohibited from participating and asked to leave the premises of the organizing institute.
  • Once registered for an event, under no circumstances the registration fees shall be refunded to the participants in case of absence/ disqualification.
Judging Criteria
  • Total Skips: The primary scoring criterion will be the total number of successful skips completed within the time limit.
  • Style Points: Judges may award additional style points for creativity in skipping techniques (e.g., tricks, variations), but these points will not exceed the total number of skips.
  • Judges will oversee the competition to ensure adherence to rules and accurate counting of skips.
Elimination Criteria
  • Missing the rope entirely.
  • Using any aids or tools other than the skipping rope.
  • Conducting disruptive behavior during the competition.
