Story Blitz - One-Minute Storytelling
Participants share their original stories in a concise format, aiming to engage the audience and judges within a one-minute timeframe. Participants must register in advance. Each participant will be assigned a specific time slot for their performance. A theme or prompt may be provided at the start of the event to inspire storytelling. Participants will have a short time (e.g., 5 minutes) to prepare. Each participant will have exactly one minute to tell their story in front of the audience and judges. After all performances, judges will evaluate each participant based on the set criteria, and winners will be announced.

Rules
  • Time Limit: Each participant has a strict time limit of one minute. Timing will be monitored, and any participant exceeding this limit will be stopped.
  • Content: All stories must be original. Plagiarized or copied works will lead to disqualification. Stories should be appropriate for all audiences.
  • Language: Participants may tell their stories in any language. Bilingual performances are also encouraged.
  • Props and Aids: No props or visual aids are allowed during the storytelling. Participants should rely solely on their narrative skills.
  • Conduct: Participants are expected to maintain professionalism. Disruptive behavior during other participants’ performances will not be tolerated.
  • The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
  • In the event of any disputes that may arise during the competition, the decision made by the organizers will be final and binding.
  • Participants found under the influence of cigarettes, alcohol, or narcotics, or using unfair means, regardless of the event they are participating in or the institution they represent, will be prohibited from participating and asked to leave the premises of the organizing institute.
  • Once registered for an event, under no circumstances the registration fees shall be refunded to the participants in case of absence/ disqualification.
Judging Criteria
  • Creativity (30%): Originality and uniqueness of the story.
  • Engagement (30%): Ability to captivate the audience and maintain interest throughout the performance.
  • Clarity (20%): Coherence and clarity in storytelling, including structure and flow.
  • Delivery (20%): Presentation style, including voice modulation, pacing, and expressiveness.
  • A panel of judges with experience in storytelling or literature will evaluate performances based on the scoring criteria.
